Controlling and containing images in the digital age are important issues. The ClassMovies programme ensures that all movies have the correct parental permission, are approved by the teacher, and are a positive representation of the school.
The programme deals with these important issues through a three stage policy:
Stage One
Every Starter Pack contains a Parent Consent form specific to the ClassMovies programme which covers the use of the images by the school. Therefore only children whose parents/carers have given written permission are filmed.
Stage Two
Next, the teacher reviews a draft of their movie to ensure that any child that did not have permission is excluded. Any such images are removed from the final movie at this point.
Stage Three
Finally, every movie is identified by a unique Class Code. This code is only known by the school. Parents can only access their movies by use of the code and all movies are delivered to the class teacher to go home with the child.
